A Japanese-inspired series featuring lacquer from various regions, embraced by URUSHI.

Crafted by Sato Kiyomatsu Shoten, a lacquer shop in Nishijin, Kyoto, founded in 1921. "Fūsestsu" is finished using the traditional technique of Kuro-hakeme-nuri with silver powder, resulting in a bold yet refined texture.

The brass piece "Moon" is elegantly adorned with lacquer. The joined brass subtly peeks through on the inner surface, adding a graceful touch to the moment of enjoying sake.

This product is
Using a technique called black brush-finish silver powder
We use a technique in which silver powder is brushed onto the black lacquer. Since each piece is lacquered by hand, there may be differences in the spacing of the stripes and the texture of each product.
Also, because the silver powder is applied using a brush, there are differences in color intensity and patterns.
This product's appeal lies in the warmth and expression that can only come from being finished by hand.
Because silver powder is used
Over time, the silver parts will turn light brown or cream in color.
